OO.STUDIO / INTERNAL PROJECT
Know the sound.
Find your place.
hear.is
Can I have a conversation there? hear.is starts with an everyday question that can make a real difference to someone’s day. I helped shape a digital experience around discovering places and understanding what people heard.

01 / THE IDEA
An everyday question.
A more thoughtful experience.
hear.is is an internal oo.studio project, not a client commission. My work connects its website, place browsing and venue information into a shared visual language. The focus is on helping people make sense of a place before they visit.
Design and development work together across the map, alternative browsing views and the details that make a venue’s sound picture easier to understand.
02 / THE AIM
Make sound understandable.
Make places easier to explore.
The experience needed to bring location, community reports and conversation information together without overwhelming people. It also needed ways to browse beyond a visual map, especially on a phone.
03 / WHAT I BUILT
The thinking.
The making.
The details.
- 01
Start with the question people have.
The website introduces hear.is through conversation and everyday places, giving visitors a clear route into exploring somewhere to go.
- 02
Bring the place into focus.
Map browsing and venue information connect discovery with a closer look at what people experienced. Clear labels and familiar controls help visitors move between them.
- 03
Design for different ways of browsing.
Readable content, responsive layouts and a list alternative support people who use the service in different ways. The emphasis stays on useful information and a clear next step.
04 / THE PROJECT
A clearer picture
of a place.
A website and place-discovery experience that puts conversation at the centre. The visual identity, browsing controls and venue information give the service a consistent, recognisable voice.
