SayGday.ai · Product design & development
I designed and built SayGday: an interactive FAQ that gives small businesses a familiar website chat, backed by answers they control. From the first idea to the working product, I brought together the website, owner dashboard, answer system and customer handover.

01 / THE BRIEF
A useful answer.
A human voice.
I first built SayGday because I wanted it for my own website: a simple way to answer everyday questions, in my own words, and bring new enquiries back to me. I saw how useful that could be for other small businesses too.
That became the brief for my own product: easy to set up, useful day to day, and affordable for a small business. I shaped the whole experience around that, from the public website to answer approval and customer enquiries. The price had to make sense too; helpful website tools shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.
02 / HOW IT WORKS
Natural questions.
Approved answers.
Customers ask in their own words. SayGday finds the relevant answer from the business’s approved library and delivers it word for word. Different ways of asking the same question can lead to the same answer.
AI helps prepare that library by reading the website and drafting questions and answers for review. The owner edits and signs off what stays. When there’s no approved answer, the question goes to a real person by email.
03 / HOW I BUILT IT
One product.
Three connected parts.
- 01
Make the idea easy to understand.
I designed the public website around a working example of the conversation. Warm photography, clear language and a signed-off answer show the difference quickly, with a straightforward path into setup.
- 02
Give owners control behind the scenes.
I built a dashboard that turns website content into a starting answer library. Owners can review drafts, edit wording, approve answers and customise their chat button. Website verification connects the setup to a site they own.
- 03
Connect the conversation to the business.
A small script adds the chat to the business’s website. Behind it, the answer system matches questions to approved content. Email handover carries new questions and the customer’s reply address back to the team, completing the journey.

04 / THE RESULT
From an idea.
To an everyday tool.
SayGday brings product strategy, interface design and development into one connected service. The public website explains it, the dashboard manages it, and the chat puts it to work for customers.
I use it here too. The chat on this page shares my approved studio answers and sends new questions back to me. It’s a working example of the kind of complete digital product I can build.
