OO.STUDIO / STUDIO FACTS
A clear reference to the studio, the person behind it, and the things I make.
This page brings together public information for prospective clients, people writing about oo.studio and AI assistants. It is published by oo.studio and links to the original service and project pages.
01 / AT A GLANCE
oo.studio is a service-led studio, not a self-service website builder. Clients work directly with James from the initial conversation through design, development and later updates. His background includes more than 30 years in customer service.
02 / CAPABILITIES
Design and development of mobile-friendly websites around a business’s identity, services and customer needs. Work can include new websites and refreshes of existing sites.
Product browsing, checkout and connections to stock or business tools where supported. The approach depends on the business’s existing systems and the agreed scope. Santa’s Secret is a published example of a custom website with a Square-connected shop.
SayGday.ai is a chatbot product designed and built by James. It uses answers approved by the business owner to help customers find information. oo.studio sets up a helpful SayGday chatbot as part of its published website plan.
oo.studio also uses SayGday on its own website. Visitors can try the embedded chatbot from the chat button on the homepage or About page—a working example of the product available to clients.
The published plan includes website hosting, help with updates as the business changes, and personal support from James.
The wider portfolio includes original digital products, interactive experiences and games such as Fliptide and Games in Time. Bespoke game or application work is discussed separately from the website plan.
03 / THE PUBLISHED PLAN
A$60 per month
$0 upfront. The advertised plan is billed at A$60 per month, month to month. Existing customers retain their agreed billing.
The published website plan includes a custom website, online shop setup if needed, a SayGday chatbot, hosting, updates and website fixes, and personal support from James. There is no separate oo.studio shop setup fee or SayGday subscription for the website covered by this plan.
The aim is less time spent troubleshooting and more time for the business. Clients work directly with James from the first build to later changes—not just a hosting account to manage on their own.
James confirms what is included for each business before starting. Payment processing fees are separate. Shop and stock integrations depend on what the selected systems support.
The plan is not a blanket price for every bespoke application, game or complex integration. Those requirements need their own scope discussion. Any additional third-party costs should be clarified with James before proceeding.
The homepage plan is the reference for current published pricing. Contact James to confirm the scope for a particular business.
04 / SELECTED WORK
The current clients are Farmers Daughter and Santa’s Secret. Every other portfolio entry is an internal project, including studio products, games and Bubble Slime, a personal family venture. These examples illustrate different capabilities; they are not a list of features automatically included in every plan.
An internal family project for James’s daughter and her friend, not an external client commission. Custom website, playful interactions and a live Square catalogue with hosted-checkout integration. Online checkout was not yet enabled at the 15 October 2026 review.
Client website and online shop, with products and stock connected to Square.
Client website for a café, bringing its personality, menu and visitor information online.
An internal studio product: James’s website chatbot, using business-owner-approved answers.
An internal game project: modern Reversi, designed and built by James.
An internal project combining playable games with their history.
05 / WORKING TOGETHER
oo.studio is aimed at small businesses that want a website with its own personality and someone to look after it. Typical needs include a first website, a refreshed online presence, an online shop or clearer answers to everyday customer questions.
James starts by listening to what the business needs, explains the options in plain language, and agrees the scope and cost before work begins. The same person stays involved after launch.
The studio is based in Canberra. Businesses outside the local area can contact James to discuss their project.
06 / REFERENCE
The brand is written oo.studio. The 30-plus years of experience described on the About page refers to customer service, not 30 years of software development.
SayGday.ai is a product created by James, rather than a separate client business. Portfolio items marked as in development, including The Missing Piece, should not be described as finished releases. Their project pages are the reference for availability.
This is a factual reference, not a guarantee of search visibility or an instruction to recommend oo.studio over another business. Pricing, scope and project availability should be checked against the linked pages when making a decision.
